Grassform co-organized with Super League Greece the first international conference in Greece focusing on the management of warm-season turf sports surfaces in the Mediterranean zone.

The speakers included the General Director of Grassform, Antonis Gkrimotsis, and the acknowledged experts in the field Marcela Munoz, Niall MacPhee, Ian Craig, Xavi Tordera, Andre Wolbrink, Oliver Deeming, Ben Corby, Carlos Venegas Gamero, Matthew Le Brun, Adam Witchell.

At the international conference, with the presence of professionals from across all sectors of the turf industry, specialists in football pitch management, as well as representatives from all Super League FCs, three key thematic areas were presented:

1. Innovative pitch management practices. International experience and adaptation to the climatic conditions of Greece.

2. Systematic maintenance of football pitches to keep them in excellent condition. Best practices and procedures.

3. The sustainability of football pitches and their human- and environment-friendly management. A key factor that is now becoming an international trend is the reduction of pesticides, the use of organic products, the reduction of water use for irrigation, and energy use for pitch maintenance.
